St. John Fisher                   Faith             Formation

Welcome, Families of St. John Fisher!

Welcome to our newly redesigned Faith Formation Program that  ensures that  we can provide a safe and flexible environment that does not compromise the quality of the Faith Education provided. Our goal continues to be that our youth develop a loving and powerful relationship with Jesus Christ that transforms their hearts and provides them with the tools to witness the faith by living the message of the Gospels. With that said, we have had to change our program location for elementary aged students, as we are no longer able to use space at Marlborough Elementary School.

We are excited to announce our new program, that we hope will allow us to partner more fully with our families.  We have developed a multi-faceted program where some instruction will be online and some will happen in person at the church, unless local and state guidelines change.  ZOOM classes will also be used as needed.  Our new program combines catechesis, hands-on activities, family activities, prayer, Mass, and service to others.  As this year continues, our program may need to change and adapt and we thank you in advance for your patience, support, and flexibility.

We have created a program that revolves around four Faith Practices for Faith Formation:

Faith Talk - Helping families develop a language of faith and a comfort talking about Jesus.  Helping families to see how Jesus is present in their every day lives.

Prayer - Helping families to learn to pray individually and as a family.  Helping families pray with scripture and engage with the Bible.

Family Rituals and Traditions -  Helping families develop a weekly ritual of Mass attendance.  Helping families establish rituals around the liturgical calendar, and helping families celebrate milestones.

Family Service - Helping families see how serving others is living out our faith.  Helping families learn to use gifts and talents to serve others, and helping families develop a sense of caring for creation.
